dISCOVER THE 3 r’S:
rIDE, REST, RECONNECT. ™
The ethos of the 3R’s is about balance, strength and being in harmony with each other. Just like three sides of a triangle – this is the cycle: ride, rest, reconnect
The ride is the journey upwards. Peak sports experiences, adrenaline, dopamine, the rush, the high. Just like on a rollercoaster. We experience the environment around us, raw, meditative, uninterrupted. There is no conscious thinking, no words needed to describe what’s happening. It’s just you, in the moment, experiencing the thrill of being alive.
After the high of the ride, it is important to come down gently. Too many times, injuries can follow if we keep chasing the high. With experience comes awareness, knowing when it’s time to get off the ride. This is where the rest comes in. Natural highs are great sharpeners of our senses, but can be depleting. Base line dopamine levels get skewed if we keep chasing the highs. Rest is where the processing happens, it’s where the brain and the body get a chance to catch up on restoring natural balance within our system. Rest is where we take care of our bodies, where we nourish ourselves, with our breathing, and with our stillness.
After balance is restored, we can then reflect on what has happened and reconnect, with ourselves, with our friends, and with our environment. This is then time spent for music, with friends, dancing, celebrating, sharing.
These are the moments we live for.
The 3R’s is the cycle we ride.
Who are we?
At our essence, we are a dedicated group of expert ride sport & wellness professionals offering unparalleled travel, adventure and hospitality services.
Our aim is to empower you to craft new journeys, forge connections with like-minded individuals, and experience the thrill of riding in spectacular locations across the globe.
For most of us, the journey started long, long ago, however a pivotal moment came in 2016, when Founder Jon made a conscious decision to quit his career and follow his love of coaching and put his passion for ride sports and adventures centre stage. His aim was simple: help others enjoy the sports we love and avoid the painful mistakes he made, travel to new places, make new friends and promote the transformational health benefits of ride sports by spreading the cyclical nature of the 3 R’s far and wide.
There’s a lot more to the story though than this. If you ask him about it and buy him a beer, he might just tell you!
